RIPA-1 : First International Conference on Riparian Ecosystems Science and Management

The first international conference on Riparian Ecosystems Science and Management will be held from 6th to 8th April 2022 in Bratislava (Slovakia). At the Conference we invite academia and civil society to discuss and share knowledge to understand how riparian ecosystems are studied and managed across the world.

Example of topics :

  • socioecological functioning (riparian ecology, species interactions, biogeomorphology, biogeochemistry, ecosystem services, riparian uses and perceptions, etc.)

  • changes and future trends under multiple disturbances (human-induced pressures, climate change, diseases, etc.)

  • methods and tools (monitoring/assessment, indicators, remote sensing, field survey, modeling tools, phytoecological approaches, etc.)

  • management, conservation and restoration

The Scientific Committee is pleased to invite authors to submit their abstracts.

Deadline for abstract submission : 25th Nov. 2021 (reply to propositions in January 2022)

Abstract submission guidelines :

Send the abstract as a separate document to ripa-1@sciencesconf.org

It should contain :

  1. Title of the presentation
  2. Name, affiliation and email of the presenter (this person will be the main contact)
  3. Name and affiliation of the co-author/s
  4. Summary (300 words limit)
  5. Keywords
  6. Type of presentation required (oral or poster)

Contributions to special issues in scientific journals will be proposed to participants after the conference.
