Biography :
Francisca Aguiar is an Assistant Professor of the School of AgricuIture, University of Lisbon, Portugal, and a researcher on Forest Research Centre of the same university. She works on aquatic vegetation and riparian forests in Mediterranean-type rivers. She researches the effects of human disturbances, notably land use and river regulation, and also on ecological quality, invasive species, ecosystem services, and river management.
